About Claire
For the past 13 years, I’ve brought my love of ecology and design to historic gardens, estates, and private clients in the Hudson Valley, New York City, and New Orelans. Places where I’ve worked, managed, or learned include Locust Grove, Stonecrop Gardens, Wave Hill, and Longue Vue Gardens.
I first learned that being outside (as a job!) was possible at Bennington College, where I studied ecology and literature, but I have been a hiker, camper, and flower fan since I was tiny. I am committed to lifelong learning through classes at the New York Botanical Garden and membership at organizations including the New York Flora Association and the Ecological Landscape Alliance. My work is guided by the function and beauty of the plant communities I interact with daily, and I’m currently enrolled in the Landscape Design certificate program at the New York Botanical Garden.
